All too often, these first responders stay behind to address the aftermath of tragic situations. They provide emergency overnight shelter and clothing to a family that has lost everything in a fire; they supply comfort items to children impacted by an emergency; and they find a hotel room for a woman discovered living with her children in their car. They pool their own money to help people in dire need get through the night until a long term remedy can be found.
The Board of Directors are all volunteer. No one receives a salary. Each board member is committed to our mission donating their time, talents and unique resources to serve our first responders and the Livonia community.
